"The Man Without a Face" is a novel written by Isabelle Holland and published in 1972. Charles becomes fascinated with a reclusive man named Justin McLeod, who was disfigured in a terrible accident and wears a mask to cover his face. The book was adapted into a film in 1993, directed by and starring Mel Gibson.
